About the Founder

Professor Ngozika Marian Mbajiorgu is a professor of Science Education with the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She has served her university in various sensitive capacities, as the pioneer Coordinator of Quality Assurance and the Director of Academic Planning. She has also served as a consultant to various international bodies including the Royal Society of Chemistry as well as the Higher Education Commission, Hull, England and the World Bank. She met with Christ as a student in 1986 and was ordained a pastor in 2003. She has used her position as a professional woman to further the cause of Christ, ministering to professionals and young people in the course of her daily activities.

The vision for the Emerald Ministry was born during her one year sabbatical placement with the Centre for Science Education, Glasgow University, Scotland in 2005. During this time, she worshipped with the Destiny Church, Shawlands, Glasgow, the church she was directed by the LORD to worship in before leaving the shores of Nigeria. In April of that same year (2005), Pastor Peter Pretorius visited the church and God used him to confirm His calling upon her life and the fact that He (God) has directed her to Destiny Church. It was not until November of 2005 that she got the full revelation of what God wanted her to do through the Ministry of Sue Owens, the wife of Pastor Andrew Owens, the founder and pastor of Destiny Church. The vision was to establish a fellowship that will be involved in reaching the professional women as well as top chief executives.

The vision was realized in the establishment of Emeralds. Emeralds has since been involved with Chief Executives in government, banks, military, academia, etc. Prof. Ngozika Mbajiorgu operates in the prophetic and has healing gifts.
